Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, the daughter of a musician from Mexico was born into the music-loving parents of her family. As a child, she was exposed to many traditional music as well as traditional boleros. In addition, she was a fan of traditional romantic ballads and ranchero. Ana loves the opera and tango genres as well as every form of dramatic performances. She started singing and studying the piano with her mom, then began more intense training in singing at the age of 16 with renowned Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. The School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico furthered her education in music. Her early professional career was spent performing with various opera choruses, chamber groups and chamber groups in Guadalajara. When she moved into the United States, she performed as a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. After 2002 she moved to Southern California. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and sings Latin American traditional music solo at many private events. Alongside being an active performer as well as an instructor, her love of music and art keeps her involved in a range of different projects. Ana is also a former member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana is thankful for being able to share her love and passion of old-fashioned Latin American songs with others, and in doing so hopes to instill a sense of particularly among the younger generation, to help keep this tradition alive.Viva Mexico!
