Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His international success has seen him break into mainstream Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu (his smash hit from 2016) won the Colombian Kids Choice Award, the 2017 most popular Song. The year after Medellin, Sony distributed La Industria Inc. and released ADN as his first full-length album. The album climbed to number 8 in the Top Latin Albums Chart. Vaina Loca is one of the Top Five hit of Ozuna's Top Five album in 2007, saw him join Ozuna. He worked alongside Noriel for Mala Influencia in the year 2020, and in the year following, he came out with his second album, the charting Dopamina. Later in 2021, he performed on a duet TINI on her streaming smash track Maldita Foto. The 2023 album of 2000 featuring the mega-hit La Bachata. Turizo was raised in a musical environment, as both his mother & older brother are professional musicians. He has said in interviews that music is compulsory. In his childhood he was taught how to play the piano, guitar and the ukulele. He initially wanted to be Veterinarian, however after his brother Julian was convinced to let him attend singing lessons from the help of a Cuban singer, he altered his career plans.
